If you plan to introduce a pacifier, make sure it's one that's free of harmful plastics. Plastic softeners contain phthalates and clear, hard plastics contain BPA, two chemicals that savvy parents avoid because they've been shown to cause numerous, serious health problems.

Natursutten products are made in Europe and are proven safe and non-toxic, as they conform to the Pacifier Safety requirements by European standard EN 1400.

Each Natursutten pacifer is made from pure, natural rubber from the tree Hevea brasiliensi. Natural rubber is nature's ideal substance for a pacifier. It's softer than silicone and free of bisphenol-A (BPA), phthalates and PVC. These rubber pacifiers contain no allergens (the protein that on rare occasions can provoke a latex allergy is eliminated during production).

Unlike conventional pacifiers, the Natursutten pacifiers are molded as one piece. This means there are no joints or cracks for bacteria and dirt, and creates a more hygenic product.

These pacifiers are also designed with a large shield that's intented to touch baby's nose while sucking to provide comfort by more closely simulating breast-feeding. The large shield also prevents baby from being able to squeeze the flexible rubber enough to fit it in the mouth. It will not leave marks on baby's face.

Because of their natural quality, free of chemical stabilizers and additives, these rubber pacifiers should be replaced every 4-5 weeks.

Orthodontic vs. Rounded: Wondering which shape to choose? If you're introducing pacifiers for the first time, try one of each! You won't know what shape your baby prefers until you try. For long term dental development, orthodontic is recommended. However, if you plan to limit pacifier use and phase out the pacifier by approximately 12 months, either shape would be fine. Rounded is still most popular in Europe.
